Emptiness is many things!
But for sure it is not sin. too often we come across people who believe that their actions may be sinful in front of God or human judgment. There is another even funnier expression of this, from people who understand the whole concept of sin is bullshit, still they use it: Abnormally attracted to sin!
So wrong, in so many ways. First of all no actions can be sinful, everything we do we do in order to keep ourselves satisfied, which should be the clearest meaning of life. Of course, many philosophies, christian, esoteric, or otherwise teach us that the need of self satisfaction is to be overcome. Christians believe they need to abstain from all sorts of things to be one with god, orientals do the same in order to be one with the universe. Just different types of bullshit.
So, considering all those ideas that created the concept of sin to be wrong, the simple conclusion is that: There is nothing abnormal to being attracted to be satisfied. Not even that satisfaction means rather destructive patterns, as is masochism. But even a masochist acts to fulfill his own needs, thus making him all and all human.
But the funniest thing about sin comes from catholicism (btw, the auto correct tool from Google is trying to put caps on that word, the idiots). They teach their followers that sin is the worse thing a human could comit, yet on everyone's deathbed comes a priest with absolution.
Why not sin as hell than? It is after all, the natural thing to do.

Well...sin has many definitions-depending on the stand point of the definer. i, for one, never thouhgt of my actions as sins, but rather as wrong or right for me. The doctrine of sin is, by far, the greatest weapon religion and society, could ever create to maintain a certain order and discipline among people. Fear of the punishment- even though nobody really came back from the dead to tell us what that presumped punishment is- is basically the strongest non -existing wall that stops people from doing what they feel and being who they want to be. Instead, they are afraid of something that is just not there. So, in the end, one might even state that sin, as a concept doesn't even exist..unless u believe in it. The moment u start believing in smth, u create it.
RăspundețiȘtergereGood deduction, but that's exactly what was already said. The misfortune of sin existing as a concept debatable by us here is that so many people believe in it that it has become a constant, it exists even if some don't believe in it.
RăspundețiȘtergereit exists for the majority of those who believe in it. its existance is not universally valid for everyone. but we report ourselves to others constantly- the general others as they are known and the significant others- and that is why even people who do not believe in the existance of sin find themselves judging their acts in terms of sinfull/non sinfull action. but, there are those few people who can think in their own terms without reportint to the world- those are the great minds who are much too often banished from our minds, or labeled as "bad" people.
RăspundețiȘtergereI agree that some of the things you said are accurate, but what got my attention's your self-confidence. You didn't just suggest a few theories, probably based on what u've read or on what u've experienced! You seem to be certain of your knowledge and give to your readers the "ultimate answer", the only truth there could be. Maybe that wasn't your intention, though. So, i got myself confused because i can't tell if you want to enlighten us, perhaps guide us, therefore educate us, or if you were in need of confirmation. Still, i' d like to think that you were trying to compare notes, so i'm gonna give you my point of view. My bet is that "sinful"'s a term supposed to name those who search for excuses every time they've gone bad. As we all know, we're all both good and evil, and it's up to us to choose right or wrong. All of us make mistakes and carry out our each kind of burden. The difference is that some of us are driven by agressiveness, bad memories and broken dreams that sometimes damage us. Human mind has the ability to fix itself if it's strong enough. Others sins can be harmless for those who can take care of themselves and those who cross the line are bad people. Hence, i feel it's easy to blame it all on human nature beacuse that's an obvious statement. We are humans, get over it already! It's worng to say "no actions can be sinful, everything we do we do in order to keep ourselves satisfied"! You're implying that we're no different than criminals or prey animals! They also keep themselves very satisfied indeed, but that doesn't mean murder or theft are the right things to do. Everyone of us acts according to feelings and desires, but you're living under false pretence if you think there are no sins to be judged. They're always based on logics, the sinners have a background and thier actions are justified. Consequently, reasons can derive from vicious places.
